The island of Terschelling is the third island after Texel and Vlieland. Every year in June there is the Oerol festival which attracts many tourists. With 70 kilometres of biking lanes the  island is excellent to travel by bike. The widespread nature all along the island creates a calm atmosphere perfect for relaxing.

Day 5

After the trip with the boat you arrive at the beautiful island of Terschelling. Camping ‘de Kooi’ is only a short drive away. Camping de Kooi is very well located on the Wadden Sea island of Terschelling between the villages of Midsland and West-Terschelling. The campsite is amidst a forest and dunes. A little lake next to the camping is ideal for swimming and relaxing after a day of activities. Spots for the caravan range from small and cozy to wide with a lot of possibilities to play around for the children.

The check in at the camping will be around 17.00 hours and leave plenty of time to set up the caravan. At 19.00 hours starts a volleyball tournament which is also fun for your twin girls. On the camping it is possible to get food. A renovated farm now serves as a cosy place for a meal.

Day 6

The sixth day will start off with seal watching on board of the talisman. Seal watching with the talisman is a great experience for everyone. Seals can be seen from up-close and the captain will tell you more about the habits of the seals and their natural habitat. It is also possible to see the steering cabin of  the ship and talk to the captain. The canteen of the ship offers food and beverages. A trip with the Talisman takes around 1,5 hours.

After the boat trip it is time to go midget golfing! Midget golfing is a relaxing activity for the family. There are 18 challenging holes which will get harder towards the end!

At the end it is possible to sit on the terrace at the restaurant and order food and beverages.

To end of the day can only be ended at one of the beaches of Terschelling. The beaches of Terschelling are beautiful and well visited by all sorts of visitors. The island has wide beaches with different swimming possibilities all along the beach. Close to every entry to the beach are different kind of beach pavilions that serve all day around and also offer beach beds, sunscreens and more. The best beaches are located on the north sea

shore and easily accessible by bike.

On the last day on Terschelling there is a visit planned to the lighthouse Brandaris. The Brandaris is the oldest lighthouse in the Netherlands and still operational. It is located in West-Terschelling. A visit to the top is certainly worth it because it grands a view all across the island and the wadden sea area. After that it is time to go to Ameland.
